I saw these lights at RAP and talked to them for a bit. When you look at the light it looks exactly like a t5 bulb imo. Main factor being the power consumption and bulb life. If you had this light and a t5 next to each other you would not be able to tell the difference.

$120 Located in Menifee 92584 2 bulb have about 2 months of use. The others have about 8 months. Only issue is a small chip out of the plastic that covers the bulbs.

Just saw actual prices posted by the manufacturer. 24" $49.99 36" $59.99 48" $69.99 60" $79.99 Best bet would be a buy a couple to add to your existing fixture and have a t5/LED hybrid.

Looked at another site and looks like the price will be about 3x price of a normal t5 bulb but lasting up to 8 years so it will definitely be worth it. Be sure to stop by their booth at RAP and check them out

I have a 10 bulb power module so it would be fun to try out some different configurations. Imagine never having to replace bulbs only every 8 years and a 45% decrease in watts.

Here's a CHEAP, fast and easy conduit job that I did on my frag tank. Spray painted it black. Bought a tube bender from HD and returned it after I was done.
