    Acrylic Glass California

But is starfire as durable as acrylic? If live rock came crashing down would it crack easier than acrylic, just like normal glass would?

    Acrylic Glass California

I'm about to upgrade to a 180-gallon tank and of course now I have to make the decision glass or acrylic. I think if I lived anywhere else in the country I would easily go with the less expensive and harder to scratch glass. But the fact is we live in So Cal and we have earthquakes. If we had...

What did you get at RAP!

I decided to let my wife pick the coral for once in an effort to get her more involved. So we ended up getting a BRIGHT green monti cap and purple monti cap a GARF purple acro with yellow polyps and a cool looking zoa frag with about 8-polyps.

Try that clam technique mentioned above. But whole clams at the grocery store and throw one in there. Also try live blackworms.

    Copperband Butterflies

I think the raccoon is much riskier than a copperband, as far as eating coral goes.

    Copperband Butterflies

+1 on this, I really want to get one. I always read about people saying they can eat coral but it seems like everybody who actually has one, has had pretty good luck with it eating aiptasia and not messing with coral. From the research I have recently done, it is good to get them eating on...

    LFS in Riverside?

Fish fantasy sold me a healthy 3.5" typical sized powder brown for $20, I was happy and thought I got a good deal and by the way they are starting to get into sps. I agree Treasures of the Sea is overpriced I don't go back there anymore because of that. Salties, allegedly, tried to sell a...

Best place in So*Cal to buy live rock?

I think any place is far from Barstow. Where do you normally go for an LFS living in Barstow? One place that is probably closer for you than the others is Global Aquatics in Ontario. They actually have a pretty good selection of live rock and it is not all just thrown into a tub or a tank...
