not to tout another site here, but if you're on RC you can ask GrimReefer (sp?) about T5 color combos, he's pretty much the go-to guy for that subject :)

Mine started on day 3.....but I had to starve the tank from the time I dropped him in which was a bit worrysome. Now he keeps the tank aiptasia free though :D

looks like a standard diatom bloom to me, which will probably pass on it's own in time if that's the case

Yes, have seen it before as well. Those green serpent stars are avid predators when they get bigger. unfortunatlely he will prolly start to try to eat other things in the tank as well if he's left in there.

yes and yes Mike :top: and as with most things reefing there's lots of peeps out there modding it slightly to work the way they want it.

Due to your situation Mike, I'm inclined to suggest an AIO system like a Solana 34g rimless cube. Won't take up much space, nice looking rimless setup and should be able to be managed by others easily enough for those times when you'll be away. :)

should be fine with either. When I say direct light, I literally mean almost shaded.....at least that's been my experience with MH.
