Not trying to mess up this group buy but..... anyone else reading about how others (group buys) are getting these units for around $55 each by ordering directly from the factories in which they are produced? For $55 each, I'll get a couple just to place on a shelf and collect dust.

Which mode is everyone running? Ive got mine on the ELSE mode as it seems random.....waves here and there with some moments of calm.

I hooked it up to a variable power adaptor and had it at 15V.....no problems and I was able to create small waves or large longer ones with the adjustable knob on the controller. No spillage, I even cranked it up all the way to 24V and was messing with it just a bit but quickly tuned it down as...

I'm definitely happy with the purchase. Although the size makes it a monument in my small tank, the pump is quiet, and moves the water well. I can hear it slightly as it goes through its variable speeds in the ELSE mode but it is still quieter than when I had a tunze and koralia running.

Do you need one for just circulation inside your mixing station or will the pump be performing actual water transfers. If its just for circ and mixing in the tank, I probably have something lying around.

For the price of the two you mentioned you could save yourself a nice load of $$ by going with the reefbreeders led. I have never seen them but the reviews I have read are pretty outstanding. Just a thought... BTW- I have the AI Blue Sols and really like them but **** the retail price on them...
