That could work but Acros would have to be kept up at the top of the tank to ensure they have enough lighting. You don't want your temperatures varying like that, if its a reef tank, aim for around 78-80, if its a fowlr, you can go a lot colder depending on what regions the fish come from.

Those coral reproduce by budding or producing clones of themselves, they only release eggs and sperm into the water at certain times (most of the time at night) in huge spawning events that don't occur in captivity.

Make sure you keep it at the bottom of the tank, they are not light intensive corals. Make sure you feed them once everyday (preferably at night). If the parameters in your tank are optimal, they should recover as they are hardy corals. Good luck

Go with the Pistol Shrimp Goby pair, I have one and watching them come out at night prowling is awesome! You can also feed any pest inverts to the pistol shrimp.
