so i got my new 90 to set up. Drain is a 1.5" bulkhead. Has anyone here used ABS pipe (black pipe used under sinks etc...) Someone was telling me to put an ABS adapter on the bottom end of the bulkhead drain which I can attach the ABS pipe directly to. Also do you prefer clear plastic tubing...

I;m getting ready to do an upgrade as well. Moving from a 55 to a 90 and need to setup tank in the same place. I was gonna use a large rubbermaid bin for my rock and 1 for corals and hoping to do it all in a day or sat&sun. Should i rinse the sand i pull out of the 55gallon before putting it...

so you think just taping the black film to the back is the way to go? I can't seem to ever get it on there good (without ripples and stuff).

I'm assuming just regular balck paint from lowes or home depot will do? should i put a clearcoat of anything over it?

Hey man I'm in HB too. I joined awhile back but never ended up posting until now =) I just got a 90gallon as well...hoping to set up this weekend. Always looking to trade frags an stuff with locals. Good luck with the 90!

The background you have on your tank fooled me =). Next logical step would be a sump. If you got a lot of bubbles in your tank maybe attach some sponge or filter material where the water comes out of the skimmer and biowheel or did you just feed the tank in that pic?

If you're local and in need I have a good amount to get rid of.

I'll post some pics up when I can. Right now I got a 55 gallon reef. The 12inch depth and hang-on overflow were killin me so I finally upgraded and there's a 90 gallon 48x18x24 w/built in overflow sitting in my living room waiting to be setup :) Just gotta finish painting a stand I got awhile...

Definately the best fish store in and around Huntington Beach. New setup is awesome although I havn't been in a few weeks. 90 gallon is coming soon though so I'll be there soon.
