    50g Stocking Reef Tank

    I would wait on the fish that are not recommended for your 50 gallon tank. Even when they are small many of the open water swimming fish need more room than your tank can provide. I would look into any of the flasher wrasses, any of the Firefish, most Gobies and Blennies.

    Change existing aquascape without causing an ammonia spike???

    I would still monitor your ammonia for a few days afterwards. It never hurts to dose the tank with Prime, Amquel or one of the other ammonia neutralizing products.

    The flow requirements depends upon the corals you are keeping. For a fish only tank 20 times the DT is fine, for soft corals I would up the flow to 30 times the DT, for SPS coral at least 40 times the DT. Yes the flow from your return pump (after head pressure loss) counts towards that total...
