What is your plan for your tank when you have a power outage!

Just installed my Penn Plax Silent-Air Auto On Battery-Powered Air Pump in my 90G tank. It's plugged in the power outlet and turned on automatically on 2 D batteries when the power to the outlet is cut off. Tested it last night. Worked well. It may look unseemly with the tubing and airstone, but...

Breaking down tank completely. Livestock for sale

I saw the tangs and anemone in person. They look healthy and active. If not for the similar tangs in my tank, I would have bought both of them. The anemone is very big, even when it's not happy. Sun's a great seller.

    F/S: Tanks, stand, pump, sand

Hello, I've recently moved and upgraded/changed my display tank. The old setup is priced to move at $100, which includes a 90G Oceanic reef-ready tank, 48Lx18Wx24H, hard-plumbed with two ball valves, a Maggie Muffler for quiet drainage (bought new at Tong's), sturdy stand from Craigslist, and a...

Good info. I just bought the set, 1 through 3, but it seems daunting. Matt, do you use a soft cloth manually or buff the tank with some power tool?

    Neon Gobies...

I added two at the same time to my 90G. When they're not chilling out at either end of the tank, they chase each other. Fast little swimmers - very cool to watch.

I downloaded an Android app called Reef Ready Calc that would let me figure out how many pounds of sand I need based on my input of how deep I want my sand bed. Works like a champ.

    90G Upgrade

After one week of having liverock in the tank, my ammonia has hovered at 0.25, down from its peak of 0.5, with nitrite remaining constant at 0.05 and nitrate at 0. Here's hoping for a short cycle! My corals don't like their temporary homes very much.

    90G Upgrade

My pets This a mated pair of maroon gold-stripe clownfish that is highly protective of and never leaves their home, a haddoni carpet anemone. They are currently housed in a 24G nanocube that will be used as a quarantine tank once the 90G tank is completely cycled.
