    10 dolla frags!

Good looking corals. I'll come a-knockin' after the tank is done cycling.

    90G Upgrade

Standard plumbing, through the overflow. I'm going to implement your idea of the siphon effect on the drain line with a Y split. I have a bulkhead that appears to be of the same size as the drainage hole, but is actually a little smaller. So I plan to go to the LFS to find the bulkheads, plus...

    sand swifting starfish

I got mine, courtesy of Andy (ItsAllGood). The starfish travels all over the sand bed, from one end to another. I don't think I need my nassarius snails anymore, since the starfish is doing such a great job sifting.

    90G Upgrade

Hey, Adam! Love the tank, man. It's almost filled up with water now. I'll begin plumbing this weekend, hopefully if I have time. Kimmy, good to see you buddy! The free frags you gave me look good, with the exception of the xenia that didn't survive. Solus, you're way ahead of me. I need to move...

    90G Upgrade

So after starting out with a 14G cube, I've become addicted to this hobby. Within a few months, I added a 24G cube and a 40G breeder. Now, at the six-month mark, more or less, I'm looking to consolidate these. I picked up a really clean, reef-ready 90G tank last Sunday from a fellow reefer (on...

Whats your prize fish in your tank right now

Yellow assessor, just because it's the most expensive fish in the tank, yet so, so tiny! Well, actually, the upside down swimming is awesome to observe.

What kind of Pistol Shrimp and Goby to keep?

I have the YWG/pistol shrimp pair in my 24G cube and Randall's goby/pistol shrimp pair in my 40G breeder. The YWG has this permanent scowl on its face, while the Randall's is smaller in size, but has big guts - it raises its top fin anytime another fish wanders into its area. Both pairs are fun...

What kind of light should I run on my nanocube 24g

Thanks. I bought it from RapidLED. Two are blue, and three are white, but I believe it can be customized. Electric bills are low, no need for chillers, infrequent topoffs, and spotlight effect. The softies love this light, but so far I haven't had a lot of luck with SPS. I plan to add more bulbs...

What kind of light should I run on my nanocube 24g

I have the same cube, with removed lid as well. I use a PAR38 LED bulb. I had other corals in it before, but right now there's only a haddoni carpet with a mated pair of maroon gold-stripe clownfish and a pair of pistol shrimp and yellow watchman goby. I actually have to use a heater to keep the...

    Distilled Water

From my experience of using distilled water bought at Walmart when I set up my first SW cube, it is not the same as RO/DI water. I had a bout of red slime, bubble and green hair algae. After buying a used BRS RO/DI unit from a fellow reefer, I haven't seen the algae come back at all.

what you guys get this weekend for your tank

Got this guy from Andy (ItsAllGood - Thanks, man!)... ... and these two, a citron goby and tomato clown, from Tong's... ... in addition to some nassarius snails, some bright green zoas and 3 chromis from Coral Oasis. That should do it for me for a while (until the urge comes up again).

Triggers in a REEF are they..............

Mine doesn't bother the corals. He usually swims near the top and follows me whenever I'm near the tank. At night, he fits snugly into a nook and sleeps.
