For what it's worth, I tried the Ultralife Red Slime remover (Chemiclean is another brand). After one dosage, all the red slime is gone. There's still some green hair algae that I'm treating as well.

Look up Rukis in this forum for the dendros. They look really good.

Perhaps I should ditch my 55G freshwater tank and upgrade my 14G Biocube to something bigger, like you did. Great setup and good-looking tank!
