Salifert for me. All you'll need is Alkalinity, Calcium and Magnesium. If you don't monitor pH with a probe then maybe a pH test kit also. I get my test kits from Bulk Reef Supply, very fresh kits with long expiration dates.

AC3 is replaced with the Apex just in the past couple months. I have the AC3 and love it, no reason for me to change. The AC3 includes an ethernet port, I would imagine the Apex does also.
