It's on the rise because of rumors Exxon/Mobil may buy them.
A good penny stock tip at the moment is HVGDF. (Harvest Gold). My brother is the president of the US division and they are drilling in an old gold mine. It should break open within a month.
Yep, they've been talking about it for awhile. Do any LFS carry them yet?
They will have the target ones for sure, I'm hoping they will have the green ones and hopefully the reds.
Rumour is they are very pricey! I think somewhere I read they are expected to be around $80 ea at retail.
I would replace the DI cartridge. If the unit is 6 months old then it's getting time to replace the prefilters (sediment and carbon) also.
I just ordered my replacement filters directly from SpectraPure special sale:

I get my test kits from Bulk Reef Supply, very fresh kits with long expiration dates.
AC3 is replaced with the Apex just in the past couple months.
I have the AC3 and love it, no reason for me to change. The AC3 includes an ethernet port, I would imagine the Apex does also.
I don't know if you consider Fullerton local or not, but Tom at Socal tropical fish should be having a sale pretty soon. Rumor has it that he has 4 pallets ready to blow out.
You can drink RO, just most people prefer not to dring the DI portion. A ball valve installed after the membrane by before the DI is cheap.
The most reasonable and quality unit out there is Bulkreefsupply.com for around $159. Top notch unit is the SpectraPure MaxCap around $350.
You'll need...
Do you know the Mg level? It's the 3rd most abundant ion in seawater and helps to keep the balance of alkalinity and calcium in check.
I would stop using the Seachem buffer, it contains borate and the API test kit may not be the best kit to use with Seachem products that contain elevated...
