Works great. I have it for my 2.5 gallon pico reef and it has never let the salinity move. It is very sensitive which is great and I have never had a problem with it. The only thing I don't understand is why when I plug it in it turns the pump on for a couple of seconds. It is kind of annoying...
I bought this refractometer made by AdeAdvancedOptics for $25 the other day and it works great. It came calibrated and was very easy to use. Comes with a hard case, glasses cleaning towel, small screwdriver for calibrating, a pipette and obviously the refractometer. I can now very easily take...
My Magician is shrinking into itself. I don't know why because the ones right next to it are doing fine and don't seems to be showing any negative signs. I am going to do a water change in the next two days so hopefully that will help. Is there anything else I should look for?
Not too much has changed. Ammonia is at 0 and I bought a refractomter to keep my salinity in check. I still need to calibrate it with RO DI which I can get tonight. Then I'll do a water change thursday or wednesday depending on how much work I need to do. No growth to report, but the brown algae...

Here is an old photo of my nano, but not much has changed, just a couple more zoas.
And here is my diamond goby in the 29g. I don't have a pic of the tank, recently, though.

I have two tanks at the moment: a 29g biocube at home that is under my dad's control and a 2.5 fluval spec with me at school.
My 2.5 is my pride...
I want to take a time lapse of my tank over the next couple of months, but I have a few questions. Should I take a picture every day or week? Is there enough growth per day to justify that? Also, should I wait until I have gotten all my corals in the tank and a spot I like before I begin? I was...
