If most of your corals have been in your tank for a bit slowly rising phosphates won't bother them much. If your corals are looking pale or not extending than I would definitely dose trace elements. Also try to lighten your bio load a bit or invest in an algae scrubber ,works wonders on...

If you look at the last picture all that dirty water had filled the large outer bag which was inflated. The smaller inner bag that housed the coral had completely leaked into the outer bag. Smelled like an all u can eat sushi restaurant .

Inner bag had leaked acro was D.O.A Woulda been a great deal unfortunately it was not packed appropriately. Lesson learned I guess. At least they gave me a full refund almost immediately. I think they are pretty new to the game.

I use an algae scrubber . Haven't done a water change in three months . I dose calcium,magnesium,strontium,trace elements and iodide every week. I top off my tank with alkalinity water. Scrub my algae scrubber every 10 days. Excellent growth on my sps/Lps.

Best thing would be to throw it in your sump if u got one . But with that bio load and decent mechanical filtration a minimalist tank should be fine. Take out a few lbs at a time to let your tank adjust.

Yeah I really don't get why everyone freaks out over aipstasia anemones. In even a tank overgrown peppermint shrimps make short work of them. Plus they are 7$ each locally in my area.
