Just picked up a 60" 4 bulb T5 with led moons and built in timer for my 60" tank from topdogsellers (same as aquatraders). Snug fit inside the hood, but so far so good. Added 2x80w that I was running before so I'm running 6x80w with exotica led for a little extra pop.

I talked to them about those. They are sweet, but unless you get the tank built from them they have to remove and replace the entire back panel....$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Depending on what size holes you are going to use, you might be able to use a PVC drain strainer and just slip it into the hole...

Just put my new one in. If you are ever in the area or know someone who will be, Just took my old 50g sump/fuge out. fuge->return<-intake/skimmer. Its 48x15x15. Might be a little big for you though...

Good to know these guys can be such a pest. I have a TON of these in my 125 too.

I run about a 1.5-2 cups in a reactor off my return manifold on my 125, change it every 2-3 weeks. Filter sock would be easy though, just change it when you change the sock.

Since I have to drain the tank to drill it, New sand? How much of the current sand can I safely reuse? Deepest section is about 2"

Welcome. You will find tons of info and friendly people here. Might be my OCD, but where's the skimmer pump? Gate valve mod on my ASM made adjustments a TON easier too.

Progress finally... sump built. Still need to drill the intake chamber cover for the bulkheads and clean it up.

Krylon Fusion above and in the water. Used it on both fresh and salt water tanks. It can scratch, does not bond to glass well for use under water though. Havent tried plastidip...
