Its actually been awhile, I've had it for prob 2 1/2 years...for the first 6 months it just recovered and encrusted, its really just been the last 6 months that branches have really been sprouting out at a good rate

I was cutting off some frags of my SWOR and noticed you can see a lot more of the different color when the polyps aren't out. It still doesn't have all that blue that you see online, but it is looking pretty nice especially compared to what it looked like when I got it lol

looking for a big piece of purple cap but a frag is OK too, i have lots of different sps to trade

Here's a couple of the calcium reactor, sump, and the frag tank...one of the overflows drains into the frag tank and then the frag tank drains into the sump

running both channels at 100% for 6 hours a day, 50% for 2 hours and B only at 10% for 4 hours

I'm actually really happy with them, for the price I had my expectations pretty low, it would have cost me nearly double to buy enough Radions to get the same coverage. I'm happy with the coloration and I'm getting over 600 PAR in most of the areas where I have SPS and 200 near the bottom.

I did insulate the garage but its not climate controlled, I just open the door when its hot and close it when its cold. It builds up heat surprisingly fast and the fan does a great job of evaporative cooling when I need it. The tank never gets above 80.5 or below 76.5

Thanks....Unfortunately we were remolding the house at the same time I was doing the tank, so I was pretty busy and didn't stop to take photos along the way....I pulled a lot of coral out of my 50g, traded some frags for coral and I bought a couple boxes of aussie and indo mini colonies so yeah...

Thanks...no, I priced out solar and it was going to take 15 years before the system paid for itself so I just cut back on the lighting and do my best to regulate the temperature in the garage manually.

Thanks!.....Its a mixed reef, if it was up to me it would be all sps, but one of the reasons my wife was OK with letting me go so big was me letting her pick stuff she likes too (I've been a coral nazi in the past), hence all the zoas, plays and news. Fish wise I went with cheap hardy fish...
