Ah, see now I feel compelled to explain myself more fully. I have a bean animal drain system on the two displays plumbed into my sump (the display and show refugium). The hasty addition of the unexpected show refugium into my plumbing plans that were halfway done caused some... ah.. unweildy...

great idea! I listen to my tank. No really, how it sounds I mean. lol. I know what it's supposed to sound like when everything mechanical is running right. Besides the heaters I suppose.

I've been gone a month visiting family in Arkansas. I left my tanks in the care of my husband. I left detailed instructions with him for various situations. A few things occurred while I was gone that weren't covered in my instructions... The first phone call I got was that the auto top off...

Gorgeous stand! You can't worry about messing up publicly.. just read a few build threads (like mine) to put yourself at ease. I'm pretty sure I've already done some silly stuff in regards to setup, but no one here has criticized me :)

dang it, I was gonna say auto top off >.< ummm.. I keep a special supply of detergent free towels near the tanks, to dry off anything (me mostly) that gets saltwater on it. Your stainless steel stuff like measuring cups and tweezers will rust eventually if you don't get it off. It's a good idea...

Nice work! Looks like you've gone all low light stuff. I have a whole tank full of the low lights ;) The perspective of the vid might be deceptive, but it looks like you buried the rhizome of some of the java ferns, this can cause them to rot.

This incarnation is a vast improvement, I like it!
