    Help with alk question

also have a similarly sized tank and had some similar yo-yos early on with alk. Since you have relatively high ca but alk is dropping, i would put it down to microbial activity / carbon cycle changing more than precipitation, although i'm sure you have precipitation. Microbial metabolism often...

    Local Reef Clubs????

Disclaimer, never been a part of reef clubs but have been member of hobby clubs (orchids). I would definitely be down to hang out with a local reef club, the main constraint is travel time I think, it seems there's not that much of a density of reefers (just guessing from forum tags) within...

    Reef cleaners group order

FWIW i was in on the last reefcleaners groupbuy and got a chiton but it was DOA (only DOA out of the group i think). Not knocking reefcleaners, they're great, but just my recent experience with a chiton, maybe delicate?

Algae Barn - Anyone have recent expereince?

If it helps, i've been on the lookout for a couple ORA MIMF mariculture corals, so if they need something else to special order, i could add two or three corals. something tells me that's not tipping the scales enough, but just throwing it out there.

Algae Barn - Anyone have recent expereince?

I'd be down for this too. Do a reefcleaners-style group buy from AB? Also looks like Ocean Gardens also has them listed in a slightly larger size for slightly more. that green is nice! edit: or if you think we can convince someone to order locally if there's enough interest, definitely count...

Algae Barn - Anyone have recent expereince?

I mean that ORA doesn't seem to have them in stock frequently, but I don't know if that's a post-covid thing since I've only been back in the hobby in the last twoish years? What I do know is that because they're not the most common/popular clams in the aquarium market, most of the aquarium...

Algae Barn - Anyone have recent expereince?

How long do you think the batch of hippos will last? I haven't been back in reefing long enough, but i've been keeping an eye out for hippopus fairly actively for the last year and not seen any around, would hate to miss out. As in, you clam pros think there'll be a couple month supply so a shot...

    Wtb clams

Target feed with a kessil and an IV bag of calcium lol. I kid, but light is really all they need even tiny. just make sure they don't get knocked over too much (and so not getting expected light), that was my issue when mine was about that size, smaller than the conch so it got bulldozed almost...
