Do you have dimensions on it? Does it have legs or is it suspendeed? I am just trying to figure out whether I would take it apart and mount in a canopy or if I would use it as is.
Here is a photo of the 55g I have currently, but this last Saturday I started on my 100g build project. I am and am going to take lots of pictures to document the entire process. I wish I would have done it when I built my 55.
First everyone should just post a pic of your favorite lps coral or a photo that just came out good without worrying about the "contest", I really like looking at great pictures of corals whether or not it is for a giveaway. So please enough with the who the judges are, and who can vote, and who...
I use to have cichlids and they are not bad. A lot depends on which ones you get. Either Africans or South Americans, I would go with Africans. In the 10+ years I have had aquariums I have had lots of different fish and even FW plant tank. I am seriously considering another arrowana. When I set...
Yeah I thought about that too. A lion fish may be cool. If you are looking for work you may look at Cannon in SLO. They seem to be always on the lookout for new engineers. I used to work there as a surveyor, decent company to work for.
I just picked up this 135g for $100 off of a fellow on craigslist. When I went to look at it he had it full of water. He was waiting until someone was going to buy it before draining it. I got the tank, stand, and canopy. I figured it to be a pretty good deal. I need to figure out what I am...
I had to take out my flameback angel because he was nipping at my crocea clam and my sps. After 5 hours of removing everything from the tank so I could catch him I put it all back in and am pretty happy with the way it turned out. I also added 2 new fish as you can see in the photos. What do you...
Here are the dendros I picked up at the MASVC frag swap. Thanks dfladermaus for bringing them and holding them for me. They only open late at night so getting a good photo has been tough.
All those tanks look great. I figured I would throw one of mine up here. Sorry the colors are not as nice as they are in real life. One day I will get a better camera. took this photo today, just before I started fragging some of my corals.
I feed mine cut up shrimp, clam, squid, bloodworms, mysis, pretty much anything that I feed my other lps corals. They have gone from 3 heads to 12 in the last 2 months. I also feed them 3x a week.
That is why I said it would depend on the size and depth of the tank. I wanted to show that it is possible to keep different corals under pc's but you have to have the right amount of pc for what you want to keep. I should have been a little clearer in my reply.
I picked up these frags from the MASVC swap. I also purchased some dendros which is what I actually went down there for. Pretty happy with my new sps. I am looking foreward to growing them out and fragging them to share with other reefers in my area.
There are lots of corals you can keep and will do well under pc lights. I have kept lps, some sps, and softies under pc lights. Coral placement is key when it comes to the lights. You could also try some of the nps corals such as duncans, and dendros although they are a bit more expensive for...
