Awesome thanks so much for the reply. I have them in vinegar water right now and then tomorrow or Wednesday I'll rinse them really good and put them in the sun until the weekend.

I can do that, so just cover them with vinegar to kill everything? How long do you let them sit? I'm assuming you have to do a good rinse after that before putting them back in the tank? Also can't you put the rock in the oven?

How long do you boil the rock to sterilize it?
