Yeah i cleaned once and worked no problem. Today i cleaned again and noticed black power like smug all over impller and pump shaft. After cleaning i put it back and plugged in and nada. Not even a hum from the pump. So i am assuming the pump is shot. But what the heck do i know.

My skimmer pump went out and I am looking for a replacement. I have a reef octopus bh 2000 with a otp 2000 pump with N/W impeller. Looking to see if I can put a better / quieter pump as a replacement. Unsure if there are other pumps out there that would fit the skimmer. Any input is much...
