    Advice for an SPS newbie?!

. The best advice is to read, read, read. When youre done... read some more. SPS are the most delicate corals to keep. Typically SPS prefer bright light, lots of flow, low nutrients and stability. You should always make slow adjustments in a reef system. Try not to shock anything. Make sure you...

Why most LFS can not keep SPS in their tank!

.. SPS corals require a lot of dedication. I dont think the LFS owners have the skill or dedication required to have thriving SPS tanks. There are only a handfull of nice SPS tanks at Fish Stores in So Cal that I have seen. Age of Aquariums and Vivid are one. Tongs Tropical in Fountain Valley...

registered & banned in 12 hrs.

. Ha! Those mods at RC are priceless. I once got an infraction for posting a picture of the tang police. It was just a yellow tang sporting Officers badge and hat. Also had a sweet belt with sidearm. I thought it was funny but the mods at RC are really board. Apparently the RC mods dont have a...

    valida is forgiving?

.. You should be ok with any Aquacultured Validia. The ORA tri color validia is a pretty easy coral to keep. Like others posted it does fade to tan when the parameters are off. When its healthy though it has a bright green skin with purple blue tips. I have a mini colony of this and its one of...
