    Order of adding rock/sand

    Put the live sand in first. After the live sand is in SLOWLY put the water in making sure not to displace the sand. It takes more time, but it will be worth it. I helped a friend replace his crushed coral with live sand in a 2+ year old tank this way and he put his corals in after 3 hours...

    You can scrap the zoas and mushrooms off with a razor blade. Note: Scraping them off the live rock is not the same as cutting the zoas and mushrooms. After the zoas are off, use a gel super glue to place them on another rock. To remount the mushroom, use the toothpick technique. Hope this helps.
