    Booster pump help

Gauge should be after the pump and before the membrane. Even if you have that gauge placed correctly, it is a dry gauge and it will rattle itself to death inside of 10 minutes. Get a better (liquid-filled) gauge. Russ

    RO/DI question

With the membrane feed at 390, and your RO at 17, you're at a 96% rejection rate. Not horrible, but higher would be better. Because your system has two membranes plumbed in series (waste from the first feeding the second, the feed water to the second membrane will be higher than 390 - I'd...

    TDS Creep

Guys - flush kits are on the waste water side of the membrane. Your TDS Creep water is on the low pressure, or permeate side of the membrane. Russ

Any sponsors have 90 GPD membranes for sale?

We have a calculator on our website where you can plug in the gpd rating of your membrane, your pressure, and your water temperature and see how much your membrane should produce:

RODI replacement and possible incorrect reading

If your feedwater is 420, and your RO water is 27, that's a 94% rejection rate: 1 - (27/420)= 1 - 0.06= 0.94= 94% The factory spec rejection rates vary for membranes. Which membrane do you have? Russ

    RO/DI question

BRS uses Filmtec membranes for the most part. They are spec'ed at 50 PSI rather than 60 psi.

    RO/DI question

With proper prefiltration the presence of chloramines in the feedwater won't bother the membrane. RO membranes have a very high tolerance for chloramine - but, free chlorine is often present when there is chloramine in the water, and its the free chlorine, if not treated with proper prefilters...

    RO/DI question

The presence of the color-change feature really doesn't say anything about the capacity of the DI resin. Russ

    RO/DI question

Do you mean your RO water is 25 ppm? That's awfully high, if so. What is the TDS of your tap water? Russ

    Aquatic Life Ro Buddie w/Di

The cost of operation of those little units is very high, and the capacity of the filters is low.

Let's back up a little here. Wefeel it is misleading to tell people they can cut down on waste water by addinga second membrane. Here's why. First- remember that what folks call "waste water" really would be betterthought of as "flush water" in that this water serves the importantpurpose of...

Any sponsors have 90 GPD membranes for sale?

Fun fact to know and tell: 90 gpd membranes are re-labeled 75 gpd membranes. Start with 75 gpd Filmtec membrane spec'ed at 50 psi and 77F. Re-label it, and then tell customers your "new" membrane is spec'ed at 60 psi. Guess what? A 75 gpd Filmtec will produce 90 gpd at 60 psi and 77 F. Russ

Rodi Help!!! Di Exhousted in Less than 30 Days!

Yeow. There's a LOT of information in this thread that doesn't quite hit the nail on the head! Just so people don't get confused... This is one of the mini-systems. Don't expect performance like you'd see out of a properly sized system. Especially if you have chloramines. You system has...

    Rodi question

If you're going to do that - it would be a great time to sanitize the unit - especially because you bought it used. That should be done once a year.

    So confused!!!! Please enlighten

Remember that there is now a 3-probe inline TDS meter available. The TRM-1. On an RODI system you want to know TDS in 3 locations: feedwater RO water DI water You may want more probes if you have multiple DI cartridges. Russ
