I have the following frag pack for sale. Price is $160 with free shipping. For local pickup I will throw in a sunset monti frag. Most of the frags are between 1" and 2" depending on how they grow. These are colorful and healthy. From left to right: ORA Spongodes ORA Miami Orchids Orange...

    Emperor angel

I tried the juvenile emperor as well. No luck just like you. It started messing with the corals. Had to catch it and sell to another reefer. I had better luck with regal angel, goldflake, and coral beauty angel in my reef.

Alkalinity levels on SPS dominated tanks....

I run my low at about 6.5 to 7.0 in my full SPS reef. Mostly because I use salt that mimics ocean water measurement and because of the calcium reactor.

Am I screwed or will this work?

I actually take the piece off at the end of the air hose for better bubble production so it should be fine without it.

    wrasse for a nano cube

I think McCoskers Wrasse would be fine in that size aquarium. I have had flame wrasses before. 28g is too small.

    RODI Question

I mix 50g of RODI every month along with the daily drinking supply. I have a dual TDS meter that measures the water before the DI stand and after the DI stage. Drinking water reading is between 10-20. The after DI stage should always be 0. I've had to change the resin about once every 9...

Does anyone use the gray Brute Rubbermade trash bins for an ATO container?

I use a 20g Brute trash can with lid and rollers hidden in my shoe closet. The tank ATO line goes through the wall and into the closet for auto refill. With the wheels, I can move the brute trash can into the kitchen where my RODI sits and have it filled up once every 2 weeks.

How many of you siphon sand bed during WC?

I used to vacuum my sand bed with each weekly water change on my 120g. Now that the tank has mature and no more algae or cyanobacteria, I only vacuum once a month. So it depends on how dirty your sandbed gets overtime.

What did you do to your tank today?

I've been cutting a few frags of my ORA Spongodes this week as it has gotten too large. Each time I do that, the rock where the spongodes have encrusted would fall down and drop on my Sebae Anemone with the 2 clowns below it. Since it's unstable, I wanted to move it to a more stable position...

    Filter sock q

I have a group of 10 filter socks that I rotate and change out once a week. I rinse and line dry the filter sock. Once I am on the last available sock, I throw them all in the washing machine on hot water setting. Most of the time, I do not even use bleach. They come out nice and white ready...

    Echoreef 120 Gallon SPS

Thanks for the compliments. I am just beginning to figure out what I am doing within the last 6 months. Before that, I was battling with all type of algae and cyanobacteria. My corals were pretty much browned out and only realized how nice they are recently. Here are some older pictures.

The first one is a Tricolor Nana. It has a tan base with deep purple branches and green polyps. The second one is a Larry Jackson Acropora. These corals look better in person than what I can present in the pictures.

    Echoreef 120 Gallon SPS

Yes, I have 3 Radions. Started with 2 but there were dark spots in the middle. So now I have 2 Gen 1 Radions and 1 Gen 2. The Gen 2 actually cost me less than the Gen 1 since I bought them before the price was lowered. I got the Crush picture from Disneyland when I went there with the kids.

    Echoreef 120 Gallon SPS

I have been in the hobby for about 3 years. I started out with a mixed reef but slowly transitioned to a SPS reef tank. Initially, the lighting was the ATI 8 bulbs Power Module. This has been switched to Ecotech Radions about 6 months ago. My corals did not like the change at first, but...
