I have a 1 inch thick acrylic tank, buy a $6 triangle burton snowboard scrapper. And do it manually, takes off coraline algae with ease. Wont scratch the tank as both are acrylic.

Sweet, ya I'm near perris and ironwood. I have one SPS but honestly its not doing well since I got it like a month ago. Its all brown, turns a little green in evening under just blue lighting. I personally like corals that add movement to the tank.
