The flexseal is really just white DIY truck-liner. It's rather thick so you have to roll it slowly or it plucks some of the nap out of the roller.

Vectra ran the Durso silent from about 55% to 100%

I installed the SnakeTray cable and tubing management systems. Sure, you can see the cables but it will keep them need and organized and they are easy to remove for servicing. It comes galvanized but i powder coated it red

At Mike's garage sale, I picked up a giant calcium reactor for $10. Last week I bought a new pump for it and a 1/2" NPT probe holder. I need to find a way to drill a hole in the lie 704/1000" of an inch so I can tap it for the probe holder. I don't really want to spend $12 on a .704" drill bit.

Dang that sucks. Like you said atleast that happened while the tanks in the garage. Does that flex seal go on pretty easy?

How high did you have to crank that m1 to get the durso to go silent?
FlexSeal took 2 coats but like the commercial says, it’s like rubber in a can. It seems to be a very tough and durable finish

Santa was good to the tank this year :)

Got a new pretty Co2 bottle

XR15 pro for a frag rack I’m putting in the skimmer section of the sump

And this refugium light. The output adjustment is variable

And got this to fill the ATO. The VP bottles have an o-ring in the cap so they don’t drip

Here is a hose barb adapter I made for the Vectra M1. I am connecting it to the plumbing with silicone hose to reduce noise and vibration + I have never thought to my self: "Gee, I am so glad that pump was connected with hard pipe" just seems that hard pipeing pumps causes mope problems than it solves.

awesome ideas and progress! One tidbit, I have an XR15 in my sump frag area, and just keep in mind that light spillover from that and the fuge light will grow algae in/on everything. I created some kind of curtains in the sump area to combat this, but you may want to consider it.

Excited to watch your progress!

Yea, that’s a consern... but I really don’t want frag rack in the DT and I’m not doing a 2nd tank so This is the best option.

Moving the tank into my foye this saturday weather permitting.... I think I can do it in the rain

So... I was offered an established clown tang that had outgrown his tank. I was going to wait until I got the 225 up and running to take it but, after the last fish, a smal PBT cause so much havoc with my other tangs, I decided to take him before the move so I could remove him during the transfer if he was a troublemaker.

Well, there’s been a little bit of fin flaring but no nipping or tail batting between him and vlamingi. I am thrilled, they seem to just ignore each other now. I’ll post photos later but he is a stunningly beautiful fish.

Vlamingi, clown and scopas are all getting along great. A real relief. Thanks last tang I added was a 3" pbt with all kinds of drama picking fights with everyone, killing my beloved ruby red dragonet, badly injuring vlamingi and finally getting himself killed 3 days in the tank.

Big move is tomorrow and I'm getting excited.

Yeah I've been pretty lucky with tang compatibility because I probably should be having more problems than I am with aggression. I'd give myself a week to do the transfer and have the tanks side by side but that can extend if I run into problems. I also think I've sold the old tank already and I gave it away at a pretty decent price but I'm really glad to be able to get rid of it all at once with the lights and old calcium reactor and return pump I'm getting a new reefer a heck of a head start for a great price

Well, transferring everything into the new tank this weekend. I have over 200# new live rock that I got from mikes giant garage sale. It’s been cooking in Steve’s saltwater pond for 2 months. I got 6 sticks of the instant ocean brand “aquastick” because it was $5/stick. The plan is to lay down 2mil plastic, spread out all my rock like puzzle pieces and build what the rocks lend themselves to. I think it’s going to be a long freaking weekend.

I don’t understand what you mean by how high I had to crank up the Durso.

The overflow has 2 ball valves ( I know gate valves are better but ball work just fine) the first valve is to trim the overflow and the 2nd valve is to trim the flow diverted to the refugium. I have my pump set to about 50% and the valve about 20% closed and the water sits about 1/2 inch over the 90’s at the top of the durso and it’s dead silent.

Gotcha. I forgot the dorso had gate valves to choke it back. So the only difference between durso and bean animal is the 3rd E drain then.

Transfer day is started, I have all the new rock, which has been cooking in Steve's saltwater pond for 2 months staged for easy access. Next step is to remove all the rock from the 135. I have stainless steel brushes to remove any algae and I'll be staging it in totes so I can aquascape as I see best.
