I was convinced 6 months ago to get a nice DSLR for photography for my corals for sale.
I’ve really come to enjoy the photography side of things and figured I’d share some of my favorites.

Amazing pics - thanks for sharing! It’s not just a DSLR right? You’ll need to purchase an enclosure to submerge & take pictures underwater?

What kind of camera did you go with? I have always thought taking up photography for my other hobbies that benefit from good pictures but never committed.

Looking good. It's one of my favorite parts of the hobby.
I picked up a cheap macro lens, Tamron 90mm. I found it used at a camera shop in long beach.
It works great and didn't cost more than my camera, ha!

I have all the great gear and still my go to is my phone lol. These shots are great though. Much better quality than a phone. Fish are fun to shoot also with my dslr. I will zoom all the way in and step as far back as possible to get some great fish photos and isolate them from the background. Here is an example.

Very nice. I used to take a bunch of photos back in the day when Photobucket hosted things better. I have an older cannon but I did but a nice macro lens. It has not been used much and it is on the list to take some more shots of the aquarium next year. I really want to get a newer body as I think mine is an older revel Xt if I recall.

Considering trying to find something on the macro side, I don't do a lot of close ups but I would definitely like to get into those!
