Has anyone had issues with bubble alage growing on your SPS? I lost a colony recently due to it forming on my SPS.

I’m assuming it was a really small frag then? I’ve had major bubble algae issues in a past sps system and never lost anything to it. The only way I could see it happening is by shading?

while siphoning pluck them off the rock/frag with your finger or some type of tool. I’ve had emeralds go rogue and pick at coral.

It has to be shading. I went out of town for a couple of days and the white was noticeable when I got home underneath the green bubble alage.

Yeah not sure where you're located but I know tongs in FV carries various sizes of hard tubing. You could cut one to a point and fit it inside your water changing hose so you're poking and siphoning at the same time.

I had insane die off from Vibrant's aquarium cleaner when it came to bubble algae, I had to clean foam covers on my mp40s daily from dead bubble algae. It's in my 100g build thread somewhere.

That being said I'd go manual remove if you can. Every time I use a chemical for something, another nuisance takes it's place.

Thank you for the heads up. I didn't realize dead bubble algae could also be a nuisance. I will look tonight when I get home and siphon whatever I can see. I usually go and buy saltwater over the weekend for my water changes. Everything looks clean and healthy after that.
