I'd been having these air bubbles on the surface of my rock. They appear when the lights are on and gone when they are off. So far, only that one rock in my tank has them. I'd tried to scrub the surface of the rock, add more flow but the air bubbles still there. Do you guys know how I can get rid of them?

Hard to see in the picture but if there's any brown, long stringy strands it's dinos. I read an article about raising the tank's temp to 82 for a week or 2 to kill them. Theory is, in the past, with metal halides, our tanks got hot, preventing dinos. I added a filter with fine filter floss too. Seems to be working.

Carbon does not clear up Dinos. Do some research on it. It’s something you can fix, but know this (since it sounds like you are kind of new), there are no quick fixes or magic in a bottle. Things have to been done with understanding and patience

Halides don’t seem to kill Dino’s.

UV kills some strains, ozone kills some strains, GAC kills some strains, water changes seem to boost most all strains.

Ok. Got you. Id been watching some youtube stream about dino. I'm thinking about trying out the elegant coral's method to get rid of the dino. Are you familiar with that

hey guys, after some readings, i understand that if my tank's nitrate and phosphate are around 0 that could cause the dino to appear. i did some tests for nitrate and phosphate, they both read 0; i test multiple times through 3-4 days stretch. My question is that if i increase feeding and reduce skimming time to get the nitrate and phosphate levels to where it should be, is that a good plan going forward?
(i currently feed my corals pieces of shrimps and red sea a&b 2-3 times a week)
( i have a skimmer rated for 65g and i run it 24hr. I have about 45 gal of total water. i have 2 clowns, 2 dragonette gobies, 1 diamond goby, and a cardinal along with a few hermit crabs and snails)

Im thinking of using Dr. Tim one and only and waste away to fight the dino. If you guys have input, tips let me know. thank you

I think it’s more red field ratio related balanced with the amount of light you use. Maybe try prodibio biodigest

If you’re are 0 0 then you’re waste output is too good. Dino aren’t bad but they aren’t great either. Brs did a great video of dinos and how to fight them. Stay away from vibrant and nopox. Hydro works too but I haven’t had any experience with using that method.
