I've noticed a strange algae that seems to be growing in my tank. It is translucent, short, and moves with water flow in the tank. It is only growing on my plastic back wall (AIO Tank) and on a acrylic frag rack. It has not grown on the rock work. I would post a picture however the translucent nature of it does not allow me to capture a good pic. Any ideas what it is? Is it bad/good? Corals are doing fine. Tank is relatively new.
Thanks for any insight.

Almost sounds bacterial. Are you carbon dosing or anything? Google white bacterial bloom reef and see if that looks similar.

Just a guess.. what about Hydroids. They sting coral.

You been feeding coral a lot lately? they are filter feeders, feed coral less. Feed pods less, feed fish just enough and they go away.
