Hey guys I noticed my tank recently started getting these really dark green covering all my rocks.

Tank has been up for 6 months. None of it is hairy and just a light film covers the tank every couple days. I have coralline algae growing on pumps and back wall so not sure what kind of algae this is

It’s just green coraline algae. Coraline will start off green in a new system. I’d see about hitting up a local buddy to see if he has coraline on a back wall you can have scrapings of. This will seed your tank for pink and purple coraline

Edited: Oops I read the second half.
If it’s a film then green cyanobacteria

I have coralline growing in my power head and back. As far as film it’s not like slime. I just get some green on my glass I have to wipe every couple days.

Attached is pic of the glass stuff.

Also nitrates are 7.7 using Hanna and phosphate.08 using Hanna.

Nothing crazy, a type of nuisance algae, back off on feeding and any nutrient dosing. Tank still doesn’t appear fully, “cycled”. Coraline should be fairly significant 6 months in.
