I have these on 1 rock about 4x8" and they are all over it I mean infested on this 1 rock and are starting spread onto another rock it rest on. They look like small hairy anemones they look cool. They look like maidens hair just white the bodies are smal maybe 3 mil but the hair or tentacles will gout to as much as about 8 mil. but Algae is growing on this rock badly the snails won't even go on this rock I placed 3 snails on this rock on different ends and they kept pulling away and didn't want clean it the next morning they were on the sand bed eaten by snails.

When I feed live brine shrimp and they land on this rock they look like they get stung and these anemone things grab them and eat them.

Should I clean off this rock of these things or leave them. absolutely nothing else grows on this rock except for a few small feather dusters.

Pic is the best I could get, the white specs are the critters I mentioned

it's hard to get a clear pic. the white dots in the pic are the heads they stretch out like anemone then off the head the are dozens of hairlike tentacles.

this is the best pic I can get the glass is curved so it's hard to focus clearly.

the pinkish white tip is the head and the blurry is the tentacles.

I thought they were feather duster at first but all but 2 feather dusters have dissapeared and there used to be at least 30 on this rock. Whenever the brine shrimp touch these they twitch and stop moving I have even droped some copods directly on the rock and not all of them make it in the rock some get tangled and eaten. These little shits are brutal. I will probably just take the rock out and clean them off.
