So ive been using Golden Pearl on my SPS for a couple weeks now and my corals love it! I am getting great polyp extension and my pink millies are getting very bright. Pinks are one issue i was worried about with the LEDs but now im getting great color from the pinks and reds as well as everything else. my tank has been doing better so im sure its not just the food. The only downside is I dont know how much to feed this stuff. Its a fine powder and use about a teaspoon. I have been getting some phosphates but i think its because im using too much. anyone else use it?

do you spot feed and turn off your powerheads for 15mins? If you do this it should eliminate your phosphate or over feeding...if you broadcast feed and leave your power heads on this will in time spike up your phosphate and nitrate if you're over feeding.

Well i mix it with tank water in a cup and use a 50cc syringe to spot feed. I turn off all pumps so that the water is still. I spot feed and with the still water it leaves a cloud around the coral. I have about 50something SPS so spot feeding everything adds up. i turn only the curculation pumps back on after 5 minutes but not the return pump so that it curculates in the tank. the return turns back on 5 minutes after that.

Thanks! I've using Reef Chili, but I want to see more reaction from my acros and millies. Do you feed after lights out?

no i feed after "whites" are off and the before the last blues turn off. In my tank this is when the tentacles are out assuming to look for food.
