Anyone know if CDA is still in business?

Are they on summer break or something happen?

Multiple people reported they can’t reach them and no response.

Ask Ali from Amazing Aquariums and Reef he recently ordered a couple of tanks for his customers not too long ago from them.

I have their phone number from a few years ago, but it's been disconnected. Local reefer interested in buying a new tank...stopped by their shop, and said it was dark inside during business hours and some bills stuck to their front door. Another reefer said on social media that they were trying to reach CDA because their tank leaked and still under warranty...but no response for 2-3 months.

I hope it is not true as well. Just hoping they have some staff shortage or out for the summer.

I will check with Ali next time I stop at his shop.

This is a pretty crappy deal if it is true. And to not leave anyone to handle their warranties? This could turn into quite the issue. Too bad too they were right down the street from my house.

Hopefully they are just on vacation or moved.

I got off work early so I went by their old shop. The signage is gone the front office is empty and the back warehouse has been taken over by the neighboring body shop. So unless they moved.....

I think it was like last month I saw one of the owners posting on FB marketplace then selling the tanks they had in there front office area

Well seeing as their phone no longer works, and they have not updated their address on their website or facebook page, their old office is empty and Ali says they are still in business my guess would be.....who knows?

I hope Ali is right because CDA is one of the last awesome local custom tank builders. Their stand is truly furniture grade. It would be very unfortunate if they are no longer in business. And I hope Ali is good on his tank orders.

But I'm also getting more PM's with reports about CDA being closed and selling remaining stock. If they were moving, I would have thought they would at least put that info on their website or make an announcement, and taking orders. I've always recommended CDA to fellow reefers because that's how much I like their tanks. And when they asked me for their phone number (which I had when they repainted my stand), but it was disconnected..and so on.

Just stopped by Ali's shop to get some salt and he confirmed that CDA is closed due to new owner of their building jacking up the rent. May or may not reopen in another location, most likely not in Cali. Bummer.
