Want to borrow a display?

If you bought it new, I think the apex is in dhcp mode. If you bought it used and the previous owner has set the thing to static ip mode, then you can download the apex locate app from Neptune apex. After the network is setup, YouTube and Google apex setup will be my recommendation. Or ask questions on the reef forums. There are many helpful people around. Good luck

Anyone have tips on how to install an apex jr with out a display?

without a display...

well you could connect the apex up to your network then you need to figure out the ip address. that's where having the display would be useful, but you could still login into your router and figure out which ip it assigned to your apex. next up you can connect to the apex from your computer (through a browser) and hope the login/pass is set to default or if you ask for the login/password if you bought it from someone. after that you have full access and can set it all up like normal

to reset the admin password without a display unit, you have two options:

- borrow a display from a fellow Apex owner
- contact Neptune support; they can email you a special firmware image which will reset the Apex to factory settings

The first option is by far the more preferable one :)
