I won an auction recently and I'm not sure the coral I got was what I purchased. Let me know what you guys think. Can these ever be the same coral? I have tried to let it color up in my tank a bit

Now I know the one is a professional photo and my photos suck but should at least be the same color I'm thinkin. The one I got is basically completely brown with very little green. Also note the bright green base in the photos and my has brown base.

It might be. Missrepresented at best! The sellers photos either had a filter or were heavily manipulated. The sand bed and frag plugs are purple. I would not be happy!

O sorry about that. Very hard to compare them taken under different conditions.

Size looks the same but that first picture is for sure all blues. Are you using an orange filter during daylight? Yellow daylight and orange for all blues with a phone works best for me.

Either way you're not going to see that first picture in person. Is it a well known store? I'd ask for more details on how they got that picture.

i would guess there may be a black light involved in sellers pic with heavy blues. I only buy in person anymore.

I could make my turds look awesome with right lights and filters... but I dont wanna. thats shitty :poop:

What was the torch named in the raffle and who was the vendor? Knowing who did this will give us a better idea. Also turn up blues and put everything else down and take a picture with the Orange filter and compare

I wasn't going to name but someone guessed anyways (cali kid). I always have had good experience with them in the past so don't want to bad mouth a specific vendor. Was just curious on opinions. There are some very small hints of gold/green on mine but nothing like the photo. I bought a 'green lantern torch'

I picked up the coral so shouldn't have been much stress from transport. Usually when I pick up a coral, I get to see before its bagged & didn't get to this time so was disappointed when it opened up at home.

I'm out of town right now & will try to get better photos and more info when I get home. I have an illumagic blaze x over this tank and photos come out purple (maybe it's the UV channel).

I guessed because I'm a frequent shopper with Ben too. I would reach out to see if an error was made. They have great customer service

I know you said you got it in an auction so not sure what you paid but if you spent between $500 to $800 on that (I believe that’s what they sell them for usually) I would go get my money back. They hosed you man..
