Anybody have an azooxanthellate tank? I mean like a deep-water biotope...abyssal organisms which never see the light of day through the course of their life history? Some are actually BEAUTIFUL and rival many zooxanthellate tanks (of which their are many superb displays). I was researching them the other day and I found the hobby has come a long way in understanding the husbandry of these unique organisms. Does anybody have any experience with this subject?

i would love to have a coldwater tank... but the resources for us hobbyist is not there... i can't go out to an LFS and get some colonial strawberry anemones... same goes with algae-less tanks... i doubt there will ever be a market for that on our level, and have the chance to set one up...

that, and only a handful of people will appreciate it... more people like my cheap yellow tang and don't even think that corals are the real focus point of the tank...
