Those monkeys are pretty fat & clumsy by now, kept falling off those banana trees. Eventually the bananas will grow & flourish…might take a decade or two but we got time. :giggle:

You can find those barbs at Mcfadden-dale in Santa ana or Anaheim if you need them in the future
I’m super lazy so just hit a button on AMZN and things showed up. I don’t like driving around for a part unless I’m really desperate. Good to know just in case though - thanks for passing along.

I should get all parts needed by Sunday so hope to have some time hooking it up.

You are lucky to be able to have open sump. It’s so much harder having to crawl under the tank and do contortion gymnastics to swap out my return pumps and upgrading to 1” connections, it was not fun.

Indeed - it’s awesome to have an open sump, saved my back. However, need to keep the sump tidy & presentable. My sump & skimmer are caked with coralline algae — too lazy to clean it! Ufh

UV is online. I still need to split the power into 2 x 80W each and just alternate the schedule for longevity. Otherwise, I can just run 12hrs / day perhaps.

Skip the flowmeter is my vote.
I know right? It’s a one-time setup and I can time how long does it take to fill a 5gal bucket.

Edit: that said, the flow is fed from the return’s manifold. It’s hard to guess the exact flow rate. I’m just eye-balling it for now but will dial it in when I’m free.

Are you monitoring your P04 with Apex? If so, how?
Trident NP - it’s not 100% matching Hanna but close enough to detect trends. I have NeoPhos on a DOS so very precise & easy. My PO4 dropped to 0.03ppm to turning it back online.

Edit: better to visualize trends for NO3 & PO4

You might have to TM PhosFeed for all of those little mouths. It will probably help raise PO4 a little too.
I had NeoPhos running at 20mL/day and PO4 got to 0.11 hence I turned it off. Now it’s 0.03 — so turned it back online at 15mL/day.

I feed ReefRoids once a week and that will increase PO4.
