No i just run two pumps directly off my battery back up. I don’t want to rely on my apex in an emergency situation. Plus they will run a bit longer if you power them direct off of DC assuming they are DC pumps. Other wise your converting DC to AC and the the pump controller is converting it back to DC. There is loss each time it is converted. Some motors do no like to be run on the output of battery backups unlesd the have full sine wave AC output.
