Newbie here, looking for advise on coral glue. Currently using cheap gel glue to glue my frags on my rocks. Not very good. Tried using an epoxy stick by instant ocean but it made.my skimmer crazy. Does any one have any recommmedation?

Our personal favorite is BSI (Insta-Cure) IC-Gel Coral Frag Glue. Comes in a decent size tube with several caps. Easy to work with in our opinion.

If I’m only gluing a handful of frags I’ll just use the cheap gel glue from the dollar store, but for larger task I’ll go with BSI. It’s not worth using the bigger tube, because the tip sometimes get clogged up and I end up throwing it away even BSI give you an extra tip.

I've got a huge bottle of Two Little Fishies CoralAffix. I've been using it for months. It is stored in the fridge. Expensive but considering the amount and how long it lasts its definitely worth it.

I've used IC-Gel Insta Cure Coral Glue. Works well enough to hold corals in place but not too strong that you can;t remove it if you needed to.

I’m always harbor freight brand super glue gel. They come in smaller tubes in a pack of 5. 1 tube glues 4 or 5 smaller frags. Or for larger pieces I use 1 tube and a small ball of JB water weld.

is the name brand stuff really that much better?

Probably not, but with how many frags and corals I've glued I would have easily went through 50 tiny tubes. My big CoralAffix bottle is still half full.

I have gone away from using the reef epoxy putties and switched back to the Water Weld from HD, it dries quicker and seems to be much stronger. Too many larger snails were knocking the purple putties loose, but once I started with the Water Weld, I haven't had nearly as many coming loose.

Has anyone tried the maxspect glue gun? I just picked one up since my fingers aren’t loving squeezing the glue out of those dollar tree glue packs any more.

The big bottle of Gorilla glue gel for major fragging days. Dollar store super glue gel for little jobs in-between.

GG gel from home depot is usually the best bang for your buck on small fragging projects it has the best consistency and setting time once you dip it in the water. A lot of the other brands or gels are too runny and usually end up using more and losing your cost effectiveness. There was a company that was located in the midwest, I used to see him at shows, his logo is an octupus and he makes the best glue I ever used and sells in larger quantities. I will try to look it up but it would be flexible while mounting and then as soon as it touched the water it would cure, great stuff for larger projects or regular fragging
