I use New Life Spectrum Marine Fish Formula 1mm Sinking Pellet Fish Food and Ocean Nutrition Formula Two Marine Fish Small Pellets
If you are training a Mandarin then make sure to get small pellets sizes since there mouths are really small. Some of my fish do not like New Life Spectrum but almost all of them love and choose Ocean Nutrition but every fish and tank is different. Good Luck with the pellets and Mandarin

all of the above are great...just keep in mind sometimes you have to crush the pellets to make it easier for some fish to eat and then after a while, they will just gobble up whatever pellets you drop in...i've had to do that with a picky regal angel and a finicky leopard wrasse. but then after doing that for a couple of weeks, they would go nuts for regular sized pellets.

I prefer Salifert Energy. I have gotten many picky fish to end up eating the Salifert. It's a little pricey but well worth it. And for me more importantly, if you read the ingredients of your foods you will usually see some type of phosphate in the ingredients. The Salifert Energy does not list any form of phosphate in the ingredients. And in this hobby we are always fighting to reduce phosphates.
