Got store credit. took them a water sample along with the readings I got, and he said it looked perfect. He looked over the fish and said it appeared he was just stressed out. no signs of ich, velvet or anything else visible.
He did say their shipments come in wednesdays, so he was already stressed when I got him Wed. Night... He said to keep an eye on the tank for a couple days just in case, and to come back Wed for a new one... I told him to reserve me one of the ones they get Wed and I'd pick it up next saturday... want it to de-stress and be watched for a couple days BEFORE I bring it home...
He agreed.

Yeah when you buy a fish, make sure you check it out real well ask to see if they can feed it, so you see that it eats and ask how long they've had it, and if you can, put a deposit and look it over a few weeks at the LFS before taking it home.

Oh BTW, isnt that just a bleached RBTA that clifford has, I have a friend who had an really bright red RBTA that hid under some LR for a week or so and when it finally came out, it looked exactly like cliffords....Just sayin.

I have had the nem for nine months. It is possible that it is bleached or stressed because they do look like mine when they come in. I have several bets on right now. I guess only time will tell. Glad to hear you got store credit. I would avoid you alk being at 11.

Well, it was in a very low light environment for a long long period of time. However, I doubt that it would take almost a year to reach back to it's "Rose" color. It literally looks just like the picture...

Here is a better one...

It has been this color for a long long time. I believe when it was first brought in to the store it was indeed a rose bubble. However, I wonder if it is possible that it morphed in to this sweet looking specimen? I remember the day it was brought in. As I was looking at picking it up then.

Anywho, Sorry to hijack your thread David! Back to the tang...

yep, photoshop... although, i doubt it's enhanced to look better, but it's to take out the extra white of the water and glass...

but after adjusting the colors and saturation, go to the levels and delete any unwanted colors that you see...

Ya know. Considering this was under three actinics and one fiji purp... I would say that this is a pretty good photo regardless of photoshop or not. Shooting aquariums I feel are one of the hardest environments to shoot. As for the picture it is highly photoshopped, it would be nearly impossible to get this photo in true colors with out having a $9,000 camera. Unfortunately that isn't in my budget so photoshop it is.

G-Unit - I am not that advanced in photoshop. I am still learning, photoshop has a steep learning curve, I am thankful for the history tab!

Looks like your blue tang had a bacterial infection, +1 Clifford, Hydroplex is a great dip, but if it's real bad run a QT tank with Rallys. Good luck with future fish purchases...

Not sure, it might just be stressed, but he HAS had it for almost a year!?? That'd be a LONG time to NOT color up...

+1 but for this exact reason I NEVER Photoshop ANYTHING, a TRUE WYSIWYG!!!
