Those look like candy apple orange. Bowsers do not have that much green.

I thought Dream Corals Jeremy originated the Bowsers? I have a morph of CAO that look nothing like those photos... Olearly got the same ones and can probably confirm.

I think Dream Corals is the same Bowser that Hugo/SniperSPS is selling. From what I've been reading Dream Corals started selling after AIM... I think that one just looks like a brighter CAR from the photos I've been seeing.

Strain 1
The polyp was introduced to the hobby by Jay Painter of Aquariums In Motion back in 2009. It quickly became a highly sought after polyp, but was a known melter as a lot of people over fragged their polyps in an effort to make their money back. Most of the polyps ended up in the hands of hobbyists and the strain appears to have virtually died out in the hobby. I believe Zach at The Digital Fishroom has some of the only polyps from this strain remaining. Its characterized by its extremely slow growth, its dislike of being fragged, and the large orange ring on the oral disk.
Strain 2
Jeremy at Dream Corals started selling Bowsers starting in 2010, which ended up being similar, but slightly different then the original strain. It had a much faster growth rate and the orange ring on the disc is much smaller. Due to the faster growth rate it is much more widely found throughout the hobby, with most of the polyps of Bowsers that have publicly traded hands being of this strain. Several vendors and prominent hobbyists have obtained these polyps and due to the ensuing controversy not sold or traded them as Bowsers. KTARs new Waalaaa Magic paly appears to be of this strain as old posts and photos back up. This strain is the one that caused most of the controversy with Bowsers being colored up CARs, though in comparison pictures they are a much much brighter polyp.

I think jay(aim) and Jeremy(wet dream) got the colony together and split them between the 2.
but just pm jay(jaypainter) on here and he should know the whole story, unfortunately I haven't talked to jay in along time.
also I know hugo(snipersps) got a real deal bowser from jay back in the day since I was there when they traded(well actually I think hugo still owes him coral for the trade)

Thought I would jump in on this, sorry if I thread jack, I just though I would show how zoas can drastically morph. These were originally the CAR's that Cesar (dirt-nasty-510) sold awhile back.

The Bowser I purchased came from a source listed as an original owner and mentioned on this thread, initially looked very close to one of the other CAR/CAO I purchased from Vivid about a year ago, but a bit more intense. While not looking at all close to another CAR and separate CAO I purchased from other recent sources. Small note, Vivid's CAR/CAO morphed while I had it.
While in my tank and under Radion Led's, just after two months the Bowser lost it bit of its intensity and looked more like Vivids CAR/CAO. Some people on this board may have seen it while at my house.
I'm really beginning to think these are the same, but under different situations can easily morph into something kinda bland like some of the CAR's we've all seen, or more like a CAO/Bowser we've drooled over.
On a side note, are you looking sell a couple polyps of your colony Jason? they look freaking amazing
