Hi, I wanted to know if having too many brittle/serpent stars can be a bad thing??
I was curious cuz I have noticed waaay too many of the maroon looking brittle stars and some are getting kinda big in my eyes. These are the typical hitchhiker ones I'm talking about and I know they're good to have and clean up detritus and what not but some of the larger ones seem to be irritating some of my corals on the rocks and I noticed the other night one of them grabbed my berghia nudibranch and had it wrapped around one of it's little arms. I used a turkey baster to blow on it and it let the berghia go but after that incident that's what got me thinking if having too many of them can be bad especially the ones that are getting bigger.
