New tank build thread: I recently decided to break down my tank of the month (march 2025) due to suspicious looking seals.

I purchased the same tank in black instead (AIO AJ Q60 30g), thanks to Ellis Aquatics, to fit the same footprint and it's a great quality tank for the price; it had a good run for about 6-7 years.

I've been building on the new tank super slow and as opposed to when I first started, I think it's now begging me to add corals already instead of me begging the tank to hurry up lol.

A couple things I did differently with this one:

I threw my aquamaxx backpack skimmer back on because I wanted to stock it with more fish and plan on feeding frozen 3 times a day

Used chunky aragonite

Added a heavy clean up crew

Using a lid

Using FAUNA MARIN SALT instead of redsea

Stocklist so far:

CUC: lots of Nassarius snails and hermits for the aragonite crew, a huge emerald crab, ninja star astreas, and trochus for rocks and glass

FISH: conditioned and quarantined FAT Purple firefish (thanks to @calicoarl connect ), threadfin cardinal, oscellaris clown, pink streak wrasse, another type of cardinal, midas blenny
