Algae problem has been persisting even after manual removals.

I am thinking this looks more like Bryopsis then GHA but have never dealt with it. What do you think?

If I could confirm this is Bryopsis reef flux the best treatment? Sorry for the blurry photos this stuff is very short and hard to capture.

Drop feeding, up nutrient export. Wouldn’t do reeflux
I tried this for a month or so and I don’t think I feed much as it is today. 1/3 of cube of frozen once a day. That’s between 1 Blackcap, small Tomini, 3 Threadfin cardinal. Would you suggest every other day?

As for nutrient export I constantly read 0,0 even after manual removals. 45-50 gallon total volume i run a RO 152-S skimmer and fairly large fuge. Throw away about a 3 gallons bucket worthy of chaeto every 3-4 weeks.

Feel like I’m pulling my hair out in previous tanks I never dealt with any algae issues.

Looks a little like Caulerpa which i think is a felony in California.
You really think so? I have only ever purchased chaeto so this would have hitchhiked in. If you really think it could be that I’ll be sure to use caution when removing and disposing of it.

Growing up fishing, I am more than aware of the legal standing of caulerpa.

With regards to disposing, I’ve used caluerpa and chaeto as fertilizing mulch in my planters.

Not sure if there’s enough salt content to be bad for my pants but kinda works.

Don’t flush it is all. Lol

Yeah I never flush algae's intentionally. But do siphon some out when doing a WC which ends up down the toilet. I will add a sock going forward.

I know it’s a smaller tank, but looks like GHA with some cheato mixed in. A tang would help knock it back, coupled with nutrient control. Maybe a small scopus or other tang- and rehome it when it outgrows the tank. The Tomini will help, but I find they don’t do as well as a zebrasoma tang.

If you have anything you can remove and dip- (like frags) hydrogen peroxide dip would help.
I would also keep manually removing as much as you can. For me- seems if your let it grow a bit, you can get a better hold and remove it easier.

Hope this is ok to post but I would watch BRS Video on Algae and just go down the list of solutions they name and try them all until something works, if you haven’t seen it already.
