Buying apex tom, worth the hype?

I personally dont think its worth it but since omar set up mine, no point in getting rid of it now. Lol...I still prefer the reefkeeper because I am a dummy when it comes to programming so I guess I prefer how simple and easy the rk is to set up...rk is for those of us that are stuck on stupid : p

Apex is really nice but pretty pricey I may want to get one in the future but not sure yet for that much I rather just spend it on corals. I just think if your not home a lot you might need something that can do all the controlling but nowadays all the pumps and lights and other equipment has their own controller which we don't really need it. Its just extra addition that is nice to have.

I had the ato float stuck, the ato pump was running w// a dry reservoir. Got a text that the water level was low, I had not programmed in the "if low, shut off" line yet.

I have the Apex Jr. with an eb8, breakout box, and the vdm1 module

Yeah I have the AC jr. And looks like you are right you have to get the apex lite now at least to get the 8 outlets.

Any doser will work and since I only dose Alk I set my doser outlet to turn off if ph is too high which means it stuck on stupid.



Do you have the ACJR or Apex Jr. I'm pretty sure the Apex Jr is integrated inside the 4 outlet system???

So apex is on sale tom, I don't have one and have always heard good things. But is it really worth dropping the cash on it? A lot of people say they Couldn't have a tank without it. I just wanted to hear some kool things that people love about their apex. Just to push me over the top. So please your input is much appreciated!!!!!!!
