calcium way up?

hey guys my calcium level is super high. my test kit goes up to 600ppm and it goes higher than that. i don't add any calcium supplement and i use coral life salt mix. my water source isn't high in calcium so i'm pretty confused.

anybody know what might be causing it and how i can reduce it?

would this be a good excuse to go out and buy some hard corals?

What you can try to do to determine the exact number is you can dilute the water for the test. Also you can use it as an excuse for more coral=)

That is my theory too Drew. My calcium is up around 550 so Im just going for more hard coral. I use Coralife mix as well

Qestions;

1, have you tryed another test kit for comparison?
2, if you did was result is the same?

Suggestions;

adding corals is not the solution to your problem getting your water parameter in order is what you sould concentrate, do you test Alk, Mag & Cal at the same time?

What kind of test kit are you using?
If everything looks great in your tank, then leave it alone, you might be getting a false read!
