Just wanted to recognize an old school reefer.. @campge. He saw how I was looking for a yellow tang and he REACHED OUT TO ME! Not to gouge me or take advantage of an unfortunate circumstance... but to just be a good reefer, like we used to do back in the day. He hooked me up with a beautiful, richly colored yellow tang. Then when I got there to pick it up.... he had packs of food like Rods and Mysis that he basically just gave to me... then as we talked it turned out he was breaking down his tank and also had some coral. Which he also hooked me up with for next to nothing and gave some free coral as well ... reminded me of when this hobby was for fun. When we sought out each other to try to figure out what may be happening in our tanks... The good and the bad... It's those reefers that paved the way for the "Coral Namer's" we see today. They had awesome low tech tanks which got others interested... some for the beauty and some for the bounty. Frag swaps in backyards... extra equipment given to whomever needed it... or for a decent price. Advice from the best without the sarcasm and never seeing the items you gifted for sale on a different site. It may never go back to those days but it sure feels good to know those reefers are still here... I try too keep my out for those folks looking for items which I may have and give them away as well.... I like most others had a horde of fish stuff just laying around. If your an old school reefer or if you know @campge keep him in mind when he makes his comeback. Thank you @campge I enjoyed the talk and appreciate your willingness to help me find my next Butterscotch or Buttercup.... Happy reefing!!!
