So my vectra M2 decide to stop working this morning after a power outage . I plugged everything into a generator and now it’s flashing red and orange . Luckily Tongs had one in stock.

My question is can I plug new pump into old controller ? It should work right ?

Never mind I thought I was going to have to pull the power supply (which is hard to get to) if I switched the controller. I was just under panic mode and didn’t realize to just use same power supply and simply use new controller.

Everything is back up and running well

I just remembered this thread. Any follow up why your controller failed? Did Ecotech replace it under warranty? I'm running a M2 and have a Fluval SP4 as a back up that I could swap in. Just wondering if they recommend a line conditioner/ surge suppressor or something.

I have stayed away from Royal Exclusive because of their controller issues.

I actually took it apart and cleaned it very well , there was heavy build up on the magnet. Once I scrapped that off and tested it it worked perfectly fine . Looks like I just bought a back up return pump haha.
